8 months

Grace is on the move! She started mobile rolling on April 18th! Before then she was content just to lay and play and roll enough to get off her tummy, but now she's reaching for toys and has even pushed up and moved her knees towards crawling. Uh, oh, she's mobile!
Grace loves naked time now! Now that it has warmed up she is able to hang out in her diaper after her baths and she loves it!

Grace has also decided that it is fun to feed herself. She loves to eat puffs, but sometimes the puffs don't get into her mouth. She has even tried peas, but doesn't like them as much.
Fast asleep. No more putting her on the couch to nap because she has been spinning circles in her crib at night now and she has woken up two mornings angry because she flipped on to her tummy and is too tired to roll back over to her back.

Grace got to enjoy the last fire in the fireplace for the year. She sat and watched the fire for a long time.

Here's some pictures of our silly girl trying to roll over and just having a good time playing and giggling.

Big smiles for a happy 8 month old!
Grace has no teeth yet, but she did have her first ear infection in the last month and Grandma Meier came to take care of her for a few days because Mom and Dad were busy at work. She has also started to eat Gerber 2nd foods including some chicken and rice and chicken and vegetables which she really likes. She eats yogurt too and thinks its a great treat!
Grace has also become very vocal in the past month. Not only does she say 'ga', but 'da' and 'ba'. But no 'ma' yet. She likes to shout when people enter the room and we think she's saying 'hi'. She also likes to shout at the yellow dogs on our street when they are outside playing. We can't wait to find out what she is really shouting about!
Grace is starting to sleep through the night again. whew! She goes down very easily. All we do is lay her in her crib with her blanket and turn her rainforest music maker on (thanks Fox's) and she falls asleep. ...so far so good!
