18 Months

Happy 1.5 Birthday Grace!
Grace checked out perfectly healthy at her 18 month doctor appointment.

Height: 33 1/4 inches (90%)
Weight: 25 lbs 12 oz (70%)

Too bad that perfectly healthy baby didn't stick around...Grace came down with a fever 2 days after her appointment. Here is a picture of our not-so-happy little girl.

So what is Grace doing these days?

Driving Mom and Dad crazy! She definitely has a stubborn mind of her own and is gaining more and more independance every day. And of course if we don't do something her way she throws a fit! Meals are fun when she doesn't want to eat what we give her, and getting dressed to leave is a nice challenge also. Pretty soon she'll be cooking and dressing herself.

She is also talking a lot. Most of her words are understandable, but we have to do some translating yet. 'Bop' is cup or juice, but otherwise her vocabulary is growing quite a bit. Occassionally she just repeats a word and throws us off guard, but most of the time if we want her to say something she doesn't. (go figure) We have to constantly remind her to use her words and tell us what she wants instead of just whining and screaming. Thankfully she understands that and calms down enough to either point or say a word that we can understand.

Grace loves to play dress up. She loves Dad's hats.

She loves to put her boots on.

And she likes to pick up Mom's purses and walk around with them.

Overall, at 18 months she is wildly happy and upset at every second, but she is at a very fun stage and we are loving (and hating) it at every second also.
