Recently Flat Stanley arrived. He was sent in the mail from Blake. He is here to visit us and see some of the sites in Indianapolis. We haven't had a chance to get out much yet, so we decided to take Flat Stanley and Grace to the Indianapolis Zoo today. But first we had to stop by and say hi to Ryan and let Flat Stanley see the Brickman Fishers Branch.

On the way to the zoo we went by Lucas Oil Stadium where the Colts play football. Stanley thought it was cool, so we stopped to take a picture.

Then we were ready to go to the zoo. Grace was very excited!

I think Flat Stanley liked the lions the best. Unfortunately my camera has a hard time focusing when Flat Stanley is in front of the animals, so some of his pictures are a little blurry.

Grace loved the roosters and chickens. There was a rooster that kept talking too us. Grace thought it was great! Cock-a-doodle-doo!

Flat Stanley liked the llamas, but Grace didn't. She cried and backed away from this silly looking animal.

We liked the 'Plains' where we saw the caribou, zebras, and elephants!

We saw lizards in the desert, but by this time Grace was tired and hungry so she really didn't care.

What a fun filled day!

Grace checking out the monkees. ....and all the other kids. I think she liked people watching as much as animal watching.
There were plenty of things to see and do at the zoo, but Grace mostly just wanted to push her stroller around.

After the zoo we went over to the White River State Gardens to check out the butterflies. There weren't many that have come out of their cacoons, but Grace liked the few that we could see.
Grace liked checking out the plants also.

What a fun filled day!
When I asked Grace what she liked best about the zoo she said 'Duck' but then tried to 'Cock-a-doodle-doo' so I think she meant the roosters.
