Travelling, Travelling, Travelling....

Semptember was a flurry of travelling. We started off with Labor Day weekend up in Toledo for Grandpa Dippold's 60's birthday. And of course Grace had to start the weekend off right with a manicure from Aunt Lindsay.

We spent the weekend at the Holidome in Perrysburg. It was nice to have the pool to play in and a room for Grace to nap in all weekend long. Grace loves hotels! And she loved swimming in the pool. Here she is with Daddy.

We also enjoyed spending the weekend with the family. Grace loves having her cousins around. She always had someone to play with or just to watch. David was especially fun playing with his pretend umbrellas in the pool. By the end of the weekend he had everyone holding up umbrellas.

Grace and Grandpa swimming in the pool. Every day she asked for Grandpa and ever since when we mention going to a hotel she says 'Papa pool'.

After we left Toledo we headed home for a night before heading out east to Boston then to Martha's Vineyard. This was Grace's first plane ride. Ryan and I were both nervous that Grace wouldn't like the plan, but she loved it! She loved looking out the windows at the other planes while we were parked then when we took off she said 'faster, faster, faster'. We went on our trip with the Fox's, but we got split on our flights so any time Grace saw another airplane she would say 'Sasa's airplane'. (that's Lisa)

We felt like our trip out to the Vineyard was straight out of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. It was quite a trip just flying into Boston where we stayed for the night, then driving down to Cape Cod where we took the ferry over to the Vineyard. Grace did pretty well even though she talked our ears off in the car. Here is Grace sitting with Mommy in the car right after nap time.
Next was the ferry. Grace thought it was cool that we drove the car right on the boat. Then we stood outside to see the water. She loved the water and all the boats.

Grace had a great time with Oscar on the trip. Here are the two of them looking out the portal on the ferry trying to see sharks.

The house on the Vineyard was very nice. It was so queit and laid back that we just sat back and relaxed all week!

But of course we did see the sites in Martha's Vineyard and ate our share of seafood while we were there also. Here's Grace doing some shopping.

The weather was very windy, but that made for perfect wind surfing. Here are Lisa, Dillon, and Oscar checking out the surfers.

Grace's favorite part of the trip was seeing all the boats. She could have sat outside and watched docked boats all day if it wasn't so cold out. Here Grace and Daddy are walking out on a dock to get a closer look at the boats.
